Practicing this meditation cultivates resilience and constancy of self-loving presence in your body and mind.
This meditation works like magic — because the field of self-loving presence is already here and already pervading every aspect of reality and every speck of the universe. So the practice is not about creating self-love where it doesn’t already exist. It’s about cultivating your conscious, visceral experience of what already is.
Engaging with this meditation sets the energies of self-love into motion in your body. Then, like a stream flowing through a garden, this energy effortlessly does its work over time. The more consistently you partake in this practice, the more natural and automatic self-loving presence will become — until it is simply the luminous backdrop of your experience.
You see, the sunlight of self-loving presence already exists inside everything and everyone, including, most importantly — you. Self-love is what makes reality real. So, this meditation is not a whitewash of “love, light, and high vibes” covering up something unlovable in the shadows. It is more like — parting clouds to reveal the sun already shining behind them, bringing warmth to the garden after a long winter.
Self-loving presence is always ready to shine through because it is the origin and actuality of who you are. Your sincere intention and earnest attention is what parts the clouds.
The ever-changing invocations at the heart of this meditation are generated the moment you read or hear them. Each is one of more than 25,000 variations. And the sequence is new each time so your meditation will always be unique for you right now — never to be repeated! Settle in. Relax. Focus your mind and heart. Set your intention to cultivate self-loving presence for your own well being and the well being of all.
Invite your attention to be immersed in the stream of this meditation.
Now, feel your gravitational connection to the ground beneath you. Notice that you are completely immersed in the earth's vast atmosphere. Notice how this atmosphere has sustained you since before your first breath.
Feel how every breath is your embodied participation in the living ecology of this planet.
From this ground of awareness, breathe in all that you need and breathe out all that you do not need.
Breathe in all that you need and breathe out all that you do not need.
And once more, breathe in all that you need and breathe out all that you do not need.

Fully immersed in the vast ecology of self-loving presence, I breathe in, receiving the nourishing vibrations of self-loving presence — and breathe out, releasing all that I do not need. I breathe in to receive the healing light of self-loving presence — and breathe out, releasing all that I do not need. I breathe in to receive the life-giving energy of self-loving presence — and breathe out, releasing all that I do not need into the vast ecology of self-loving presence.
And so I am, and so I shall be — effortlessly immersed in the embodied ecology of self-loving presence.
This field of self-loving presence remains constant into my day or night, even as I as I drift to sleep or return my attention to the space around me, wiggle my fingers and toes, and proceed into my day — with the blessings of self-loving presence in every moment.

Experiment to find the pace and timing that is most engaging and enjoyable for you.
Set the optional timer to contain your practice and allow you forget about time. The timer starts as soon as you select the number of minutes.

Listening: If you want to keep your eyes closed, select read-aloud. The reading voice will be the default that is set for your browser.
Reading: If you prefer, you can read an invocation, then close your eyes to feel it fully, then open your eyes to read the next invocation that happens to be on the screen.
Pace: The invocations are set to change every 9 seconds. Feel free to change that to a pace that gives you just enough time to feel the quality, but not so long that you get distracted by another thought. After you begin, don’t worry about catching each invocation. Find your own rhythm.

Preparation
As you follow along invoking the qualities self-loving presence, gently bring affectionate awareness to each aspect or part of your body as it is named.
If you choose to visually read the invocations (i.e. you have not checked the “read aloud” option), try setting them to 10 seconds each. After you read the invocation, close your eyes and feel into that for as long as you feel deeply engaged, and then open your eyes to see whatever new invocation happens to be displayed at that time. This can be a nice way to self-pace as long as you don’t mind opening and closing your eyes.
If you choose the “read aloud” option, experiment a bit to find the pace that works for you now.
If you are new to this meditation, start by setting the interval to 30 seconds each. Then adjust that to a pace that allows you to experience each invocation to your heart’s content, without being so long that your engagement declines or your mind wanders.
If you have experience with this meditation or similar processes, it builds resilience and flexibility to flow with each invocation just until it “touches in,” and then switch to the next one. For me this flowing pace can be as quick as 9 seconds each (the default setting).
Advanced option: Incorporate the breath. After you find a groove with the pace and inner-attention process, you can experiment with including the rhythm of the breath. How does it feel to invoke the quality in your body as you breathe in? And then letting it settle in more deeply as you breathe out? Or, you can imagine with each out-breath releasing anything you do not need from your body-mind system. Find a timing that works with the complete cycle of in breath and out breath.
